Professor Richard H. Thaler – Author of Nudge: Improving Decisions about Health, Wealth, and Happiness

John Kay – Economist and author of The Long and the Short of It

Richard Reeves – Director, Demos (Chair)

Could the credit crunch have been prevented by a more effective use of behavioural economics, or ‘nudges’?  Can we now nudge ourselves out of recession? And can nudges be used to alter the behaviour of the financial sector, and be built into the new forms of capitalism now emerging?

Demos is delighted to present a debate between Richard Thaler and John Kay on nudges and the global financial crisis, chaired by Richard Reeves.
